英语诗歌在写作形式上最大特点是格律和韵式的应用。一定规律的韵式和格律应用赋予诗歌独特的美感,同时,这种外在诗歌写作形式也强化了诗歌内在表达的主题和情感。以美国诗歌《野忍冬花》和英国诗歌《西风颂》为例,通过分析两首诗歌所使用的格律和韵式,探究诗歌写作形式与诗歌主题思想的紧密关系。研究表明诗歌中格律和韵式与诗歌主题相得益彰,诗歌的表与里相互统一,从而使诗歌的外在美感和内在主旨达到一个新的高度。

English poetry is significantly characterized by the meter and rhyme scheme which not only endow the poems with unique beauty, but also deepen the theme and emotion expressed by the poems. Taking American poem The Wild Honey Suckle and British poem Ode to the West Wind for example, this paper, by analyzing the meter and rhyme scheme, explores how the writting pattern is closely related to the theme. The conclusion is arrived at that the meter and rhyme scheme is associated with theme appropriately, which sublimates the external beauty and internal significance.
