Research on Cultural Principles in Design

在全球化条件下,世界各国艺术界的交流频繁发生,设计师还有消费者对于设计的独特性的要求也越来越高,要想展现艺术独特性,自然少不了民族元素的运用。作为民族文化最基本的元素之一——-本土材料,在现代艺术设计中得到了广泛应用。笔者从设计中所体现的民族性出发,论述了中国本土建筑材料所具有的文化内涵,并且通过分析本土材料在现代建筑设计中的实际应用以及对材料学的有关资料和研究成果的查阅,集中研究了艺术设计和民族文化的相关性,说明传统民族材料对现代建筑设计实践的重要性和必要性。

In the global conditions, art exchanges frequently occur in the world. Designers and consumers＇ requirements for design uniqueness are higher and higher. in order to show the artistic uniqueness, naturally, the use of national elements can＇t be ignored. As one of the most basic elements of national culture----local materials,has been widely used in the modern art design. Based on the national character embodied in the design, the author discusses the cultural connotation of the Chinese local building materials and analyzes the practical application of the local materials in the modern architecture design as well as the inspection of the relevant materials and research results of the materials science. This paper studies the relevance of art design and national culture, and explains the importance and necessity of traditional national materials to modern architectural design practice.
