孟子的批判性思维倾向及限度探析

An Analysis of Mencius' Critical Thinking Tendency and Limitation

批判性思维在本质上是理性思维,包括批判性思维意识、技能和人格等,是创新思维和能力的基础,是人才成长成功的重要因素。孟子并未研究过批判性思维,但通过对思想学说和社会活动的分析,可知孟子具有显著优秀的批判性思维倾向。尽管孟子的批判性思维倾向存在一定限度,但在认识、思维水平和能力有限以及视野相对狭窄的历史时期,已经是思维意识、技能和人格的极大飞跃,对于成就孟子的丰功伟绩具有重要作用。

Critical thinking is a sort of rational thinking, including consciousness, skills and personality. It is the basis of innovative thinking and ability and also an important factor in the success of talent growth.Mencius has not studied critical thinking particularly. From the analysis of his thoughts and social activities,we can find that he has outstanding critical thinking tendency. Although the critical thinking tendency has certain limitations,Mencius＇ s critical thinking ability and level are a great leap in such aspects as thinking consciousness,technique and personality when critical consciousness,thinking level and ability are still low and views are still narrow. Mencius＇ critical thinking plays an important role for his unprecedented achievement.
