Vehicle control unit, the core component of pure electric vehicles, is the supervisory control of vehicle electric control unit, hosting some vital parts like the dynamic system of vehicle and the energy management. According to some reference books, we come up with certain solutions to deal with the problems of the pure electric vehicles＇ energy harvesting and shortage of cruising mileage. Also, in this paper, we will introduce some more information about the pure electric vehicles＇ control unit, including its functions, development stage and the design methodology. In the end, the paper discusses the development prospects of the pure electric vehicles and predicts their future directions.
