Research progress on maintenance treatment of advanced breast cancer

乳腺癌尤其是晚期乳腺癌严重威胁女性生命。对于接受一线治疗之后获得疾病缓解或病情稳定的患者,继续使用高效低毒的药物进行维持治疗可能会使患者临床获益更多。该文从乳腺癌发病及治疗现状、肿瘤维持治疗概述和理论基础、晚期乳腺癌维持治疗常用药物的研究进展等方面对晚期乳腺癌维持治疗研究进展进行了综述。

Breast cancer, especially the advanced breast cancer, is a severe life threat to the female population.For patients who obtain complete or partial remission or stable disease after the first-line treatment, continuous maintenance therapy using efficacious and low-toxicity drugs probably yields more clinical benefits.This article reviewed the research progress on multiple aspects of maintenance treatment of advanced breast cancer including the pathogenesis and current interventions of breast cancer, summary and theoretical basis of maintenance treatment and commonly-used drugs in the maintenance therapy of advanced breast cancer, etc.
