The Prospect of Research on Pacific Island Countries

国内太平洋岛屿国家研究起步较晚,但发展较快,并在国别史、专题研究以及研究机构的创建等方面取得了不小的进步,日益受到学界的关注。今后的太平洋岛屿国家研究应在主题明晰、研究理路的拓展创新以及学理提升方面多下功夫。惟有如此,太平洋岛屿国家研究才能行稳致远,形成自己的特色,并立足于学术之林。

Despite its late start,the study on Pacific island countries in China witnesses a relatively rapid development.Remarkable progress has been made in aspects such as study of history of individual country,monographic study,and the establishment of resea ch institutions,which attract increasing attention of scholars.In further researches,more efforts should be made on the clarification of main theme,the extension and innovation of research methodology,and the consolidation of theoretica foundation.Only in this way,could the study on Pacific island countries realize a long-termand steady development,forming its own characteristics and establishing itself in the academic community.
