University is one of the earliest public institutions to develop museums in identifiable modern forms, and university museums are closely related to the development of civilization in human society. In the new period, we can make use of the historical and cultural resources of university and its city to build university museums. By playing the role of museum functions, we can carry out the general education of literature and history to enhance the cultural self - confidence and consciousness of college students. At the same time, the museum construction can be combined with university culture construction and the building of disciplines and professions. By this means, we can take effective measures to make the museum a good platform for traditional cultural inheritance and ideological and cul- tural innovation. In return; the construction of museums can enhance the university＇s educational power, creativity, cohesion and influ- ence, leading and serving the development of social civilization.
