改革开放以来,中国政府投入大量资金推进农村扶贫开发,取得重大进展,获得了国际社会积极评价。在政府和社会各界共同努力下,贫困地区基础设施状况持续改善,特色优势产业蓬勃发展,农村贫困人口大量减少,生活水平显著提高。党的十八大以来,中国政府提出精准扶贫方略,实施脱贫攻坚工程,加快消除农村贫困步伐。在政府强力推动下,中国有望提前实现在全国范围内消除绝对贫困的目标。

Chinese government has been investing a lot of money to promote the poverty reduction and development of rural areas since the reform and opening-up. China has made great achievements in the cause of poverty alleviation, and has been actively evaluated by the international community. With the concerted efforts of the government and the community, the Infrastructure in poor areas have been improved, the characteristic and advantageous industries have flourished, the rural poverty has been greatly reduced and people＇s living standard has remarkably raised. In order to accelerate the elimination of poverty in rural areas, Chinese government proposed the precise poverty alleviation strategy and implemented the poverty alleviation project since the 18th CPC National Congress held. With strong government support, China is expected to achieve the goal of eliminating absolute poverty ahead of schedule.
