在长期的古典文学教学与科研中 ,曾出现了许多大师。他们有的长于考辨 ,有的长于史论 ,有的长于评论 ,有的长于通学 ,为古典文学的研究开创了各个领域 ,并取得巨大成就。我们就是要在继承这些宝贵遗产的基础上 。

A galaxy of prominent scholars have appeared in the long history of the study and teaching of Chinese classical literature. Some of them are versed in the management of materials, some in the historical environment and development, some in criticism and some in synthetic appliances. They have initiated the research of classical literature in various fields and made great achievements. We are to inherit this precious legacy as a solid foundation on which we may create a new phase of teaching and scientific research.
