The Demonstration of Human Nature from the Point of Psychoanalysis --A brief discussion on Shen Congwen's novels

精神分析学对中国现代小说创作产生过深远的影响 ,用精神分析学来研究小说中的人物 ,可以发掘出一些被忽略或不易理解的内涵。沈从文深受弗洛伊德的影响 ,在小说中大量使用精神分析手法 ,揭示了特定情境下人的本能、性变态和潜意识等内容 ,使其小说通过特定视角 ,以人性的美与丑表现了人物的个性特征。

Psychoanalysis has had a great influence on the literary writing of the modern Chinese novels. By using psychoanalysis to study the characters in these novels, we can excavate some connotations that are negligible and hard to understand. Shen Congwen, deeply influenced by Freud, has utilized much psychoanalysis to reveal in his novels the characters' instinct, sexual abnormality and subconsciousness under certain circumstances. From new perspectives he has displayed in front of the readers his characters' peculiar personalities by exposing their ugliness and goodness.
