“元白”在日本平安时代的受容

"元白"指中唐诗人元稹与白居易的并称,从产生之初就颇受争议,赞赏者推崇其为诗酒唱和、挚友交契、才华横溢的象征,批判者主张其是轻俗浮浅诗风的代名词。但在日本平安时代,"元白"却深受好评。二人诗文集进入日本后共同流传、共同受容,并很快成为平安文人最为崇拜的诗人。平安朝文人常以"元白"来自诩或高度评价他人,甚至在梦中同时拜谒元稹与白居易。在创作上,他们利用"元白"来革新当时的诗风,学习二人的诗歌唱和方式与诗歌语句。二人在日本平安时代的流行对于我们重新评价和审视"元白"有重要的参考作用。

＂Yuan ＆ Bai＂ refer to poets Yuan Zhen and Bai Ju - yi in the Mid - Tang Dynasty. Such combination of their names gave rise to controversial comments from the very beginning. Those admirers praised it as the symbol of the literary responsory, the close friendship and the poetic brilliance, while some critics thought it as a code word of vulgar and ostentatious style. However, in the Heian period （794 -1192） ,＂ Yuan ＆ Bai＂ was well received. Their poems were spread into Japan together, and very soon they became the most admired poets of the period. Some Japanese intellectuals often borrowed the name of ＂Yuan ＆ Bai＂ to sing high praise of themselves or others. Yuan Zhen and Bai Ju - yi even occurred together in some poets＇ dreams. Actually, these two poets influenced their poetic creation at that time. A lot of Japanese intellectuals attempted to reform the poetic style by imitating their writing style. Thus their literary responsory and poetic languages were very popular in the Heian period, which can offer a valuable reference for us to study and revalue Yuan Zhen and Bai Ju -yi.
