The petrochemical industry,the mainstay of the energy,raw materials and related products,plays an essential role in the national economy.The key industry provides strong guarantees for the bright future and stability of the economy and people＇s daily life. Partial optimization of the construction projects will be implemented for better adaptability to practical production after the Environmental Impact Assessment（EIA） documents of the project are approved.Combining the experience of compiling EIA documents after the petrochemical construction projects alteration,the article focuses on some problems in EIA documents such as ill-defined constraining factors of the altered projects and the imperfections in the survey of the present environmental quality.From the perspective of environmental impact assessment,the article also interprets the compiling requirements and obligations of defining,altering construction items and analyzing environment impact in EIA documents of the petrochemical altered projects.
