中国国民文化是个庞大存在,更是个复杂体系。人民文化、臣民文化、刁民文化、公民文化的交错和杂糅,使中国国民文化有着斑驳的光色。它们都可以在其赖以生长的社会土壤中得到解释。"文化自信"不是盲目的,前提是对文化特质和禀性的全面把握。对于包括传统国民文化在内的传统文化需要审慎甄别、厘清、择优、扬弃,革故鼎新而弘道养正。这就要从人民文化向公民文化转移,强健国家的责任意识;从臣民文化向公民文化转移,抑制奴性,强健国民主体性;从刁民文化向公民文化转移,回归淳朴,形成德性健全的诚信社会;从古代公民文化向现代公民文化转移,融铸新的时代精神,实现国民精神现代化的深刻转型。

Chinese national culture is a large but complicated system.The interaction and mixture of people,subject,unruly people and citizen cultures,which are explained in society where they are born and grown up,lighten Chinese national culture.'Cultural confidence'is not blind with the prem ise that cultural characteristics and nature are fully mastered. It is necessary to carefully select,clarify,prioritize,sublate as well as reform and advocate traditional cultures including traditional national culture.This needs transfer from people culture to citizen culture,improvingnation responsibility consciousness; from subject culture to citizen,prohibiting servility and strengthening national subjectivity; from unruly people culture to citizen,returning simplicity and forming healthy credit society; from ancient citizen culture to modern one,casting new times spirits and realizing deep transform ation of national spirit modernization.
