政治经济学本质上是一门历史的科学,站在时代和实践发展的前沿,聆听时代的声音,回应时代和实践发展的要求,是政治经济学的历史使命。政治经济学不仅要为中国人民服务,也要为全人类服务;要为有效地推进中国特色社会主义制度完善服务;也要为推进全球共同治理服务,为推进中国和全球经济社会的发展,促进民众福祉的不断提高提供理论的指导和支持。开辟21世纪马克思主义政治经济学新境界的历史责任,已经历史地落到中国特色社会主义政治经济学身上。中国特色社会主义政治经济学既要立足中国国情中国实践,又要立足于时代,立足于世界实践,揭示一般规律,为开辟21世纪马克思主义政治经济学新境界、引领21世纪世界经济学发展的新潮流作出贡献。

Political economy is essentially a science of history. It is the historical mission of political economy to stand in the front of the development of the epoch and practice, to listen to the voice of the epoch, and to respond to the demand of epoch and the practice. Political economy serves not only for the Chinese people, but also for human beings; not only for effectivelyimprovingsocialismwith Chinese characteristics, but also for global governance. Its aim is to provide theoretical guidance and support for promoting the global economic and social development with China, and to continuously enhance the well-being of all the people. The historical responsibility of reaching the newlevel of Marxist political economy in the 21st century falls on the political economy of socialism with Chinese characteristics. On the one hand, political economy of socialism with Chinese characteristics should be based on China＇s national conditions, and on the other hand, it should be based on the epoch and the practice of the world. Its aim is to reveal general rules, to make a contribution to reach the new level of Marxist political economy, and tolead the newtrend ofthe development ofworld economyin the 21st century.
