摘要
美国南方文学是美国文学史的一个重要组成部分,培养了大批优秀的作家,女作家弗兰纳里·奥康纳就是其中优秀的代表。奥康纳的小说因其与许多流行文学和文化背道而驰而散发着独特的魅力,吸引了广大读者和文学评论家的目光,有关她本人和其作品的研究经久不衰。在查阅大量史料的基础上,对奥康纳的短篇小说进行深入研究,从多符号性这一特点上解读其短篇小说的创作风格。
American southern literature is an important part in the American literature history,for a large number of excellent writers came to the fore.Female writer Flannery O’connor is the outstanding representative of them.Her creation of novels,because running backwards to the many popular literature and culture,sends out the charm and attracts the attention of the readers and literary critic.Studies on herself and her works goes continuously in different perspectives.On the basis of consulting a large number of historical materials,the paper makes a further study of O’connor’s short stories to analyze the writing style of her novels from multiple-symbol-feature.
