Colorectal cancer（ CRC） is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in human,posing a serious demographic and economic burden worldwide. Gene therapy involves the use of nucleic acids（ DNA or RNA） for the treatment or prevention of human disorders. In recent years, gene therapy for colorectal cancer has attracted much attention,and many research results have been applied in clinic. Currently,the main methods for treating colorectal cancer include immunogene therapy,suicide therapy,gene correction therapy and oncolytic therapy. This article provides a summary of the progress of gene therapy for colorectal cancer.
