膦甲酸钠是无机焦磷酸盐的有机同系物,主要的生产途径为人工合成,属于非核苷类药物,具有广谱抗病毒活性。膦甲酸钠能抑制多种病毒的复制,如人乳头状瘤病毒、慢性乙型肝炎病毒及人类免疫缺陷病毒感染后并发的感染病毒等,且对所有疱疹病毒的复制均有抑制作用。目前临床上常见的疱疹病毒主要有单纯疱疹病毒、水痘-带状病毒、EB病毒、巨细胞病毒,人类疱疹病毒6型、7型、8型,膦甲酸钠对常见疱疹病毒感染引起的疾病具有较好的疗效,可为疱疹患者的治疗带来希望,具有广阔的应用前景。

With broad-spectrum anti-viral activity,foscarnet sodium,mainly artificially synthesized,is an organic homologue of inorganic pyrophosphate and it belongs to non-nucleoside drugs. Foscarnet sodium can inhibit the replication of many viruses,such as human papillomavirus,chronic hepatitis B virus and concurrent infectious viruses after human immunodeficiency virus infection,as well as the replication of all herpes virus. Currently common clinical herpes virus include herpes simplex virus,varicella-zoster virus,Epstein-Barr virus,cytomegalovirus,human herpes virus 6,7 and 8.The use of foscarnet sodium to treat the diseases caused by common herpes virus infection has a good effect and brings hope to the patients,therefore has a broad prospect for development.
