Development of Poetry During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties

唐诗和宋诗是中国古典诗歌的两大格局 ,后世常有宗唐和宗宋之争。这种“唐宋之争”最早出现于金代 ,本文主要沿着这个线索来谈金元诗的发展。本文是作者应人民文学出版社之约所编选的《金元诗选注》之前言 ,提前交由本刊发表 ,有所删节。

The Tang poetry and the Song poetry are the two major patterns of China's classical poetry which give rise to the controversy as to following the Tang poetry pattern or the Song poetry pattern in later dynasties. This kind of controversy takes its origin in the Jin dynasty. Mainly by following the clue, the essay discusses the development of poetry during the Jin and Yuan dynasties. The essay is the foreword of the book Notes on the Selected Poems in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties which is compiled by the author of the essay and will soon be published by People's Literary Press. In advance, it is published by this Journal with some parts omitted.
