Inscription of tombstone as original historical material plays an important role in the historical research, which draws attention of academia. It is classified into several kinds： tomb stele,tombstone, MuJie,MuBiao （all these words mean gravestone in English） , whose concept and connotation are not clear and are confused by people. This paper distinguishes these concepts for the sake of tombstone research.
