摘要
英语学习者认知风格对语言学习效果的影响已受到英语教学界的重视。本研究旨在探讨沉思-冲动型认知风格对英语学习者口语能力的影响。经过对国内某大学英语专业二年级110名学生调查发现,沉思型学生的英语口语准确性要比冲动型学生好,而冲动型学生在流利性方面比沉思型学生有更好的表现。慢而不准型学生无论是流利性还是准确性所得的分数都相对较低,而快且准型学生在流利性和准确性方面的得分都相对较高。认知风格的不同能影响英语学习者的口语能力。
The impact of cognitive styles on the learning effect of EFL learners has been highly emphasized in the English teaching circle. This study attempts to explore the impact of reflective-impulsive cognitive styles on EFL learners' spoken English proficiency. An investigation on 110 English major sophomores from an ordinary university shows that the reflective learners outperform the impulsive ones in accuracy, while the impulsive learners perform better than the reflective ones in fluency. The slow-inaccurate learners get relatively lower scores in both fluency and accuracy, while the fast-accurate students get higher scores in both. It is concluded that cognitive styles have an impact on EFL learners' spoken English proficiency.
