摘要
新加坡职业教育在其建国后得到了快速发展,成为许多国家效仿的成功范例。新加坡一直奉行精英主义治国理念并倡导精英教育,而职业教育的目标和功能与这种精英主义和精英教育从某种意义上说存在悖论。然而,新加坡通过政策的不断调整成功地平衡了这一悖论,并实现了超越,也留下了某些难以解决的问题。
The vocational education has developed rapidly since the founding of Singapore, and now has become a role model for other countries. Singapore has been carrying out the elitism as its concept of governance and advocating the elite education, while to some degree, the goal and function of vocational education presented a paradox with the elitism and the elite education. However, Singapore government has successfully struck a balance between them and has transcended the paradox by adjusting its policies constantly. Still there are some conundrums of vocational education to be solved.
