Textual research of Yao Yongpu's quotes of Yao Nai's theory of literature in Methods of Literary Research

姚永朴《文学研究法》对姚鼐文论征引最多,但多凭记忆,故著中多有文字衍、脱、误和省改等问题。许振轩校点《文学研究法》,对此多有改正,但仍然留有错误和不周。以许本为底本,参考多种相关《文学研究法》的著作,予以校勘。

Yao Yongpu＇s Methods of Literary Research quoted the most from Yao Nai＇s theory of literature. However, his quoting was mostly based on memory, which led to redundancy, deviation, mistakes,omitting and modifying. Xu Zhenxuan＇s proofing had much correction, but still had mistakes and puny thinking. Taking Xu＇s version as the study text, the author read up many books and collated it, hoping to be of much help to readers.
