韩国建设世界一流大学的战略举措——以浦项科技大学为例

Strategies of Building World-Class Universities in South Korea——A Case Study of Pohang University of Science and Technology(Postech)

本研究从韩国推进世界一流大学的国家背景出发,对浦项科技大学创建世界一流大学的战略进行了分析。通过研究发现,浦项科技的发展离不开韩国政府的强力推动。在国家政策和资源的保障下,浦项科技采用"小而精"的发展战略,通过开展精英教育、吸引国际顶尖人才、提升科研水平等举措,在短时间内提升了大学发展的外在指标,并持续性地提升大学的内在品格。通过外在和内在双重发展,实现创建一流大学的目标。

Considering the establishment of world-class universities in South Korea,this study aims to take Pohang University of science and technology as an example to analyze the strategies it applied to construct a world-class university.The paper discovers that Postech’s development is strongly propelled by the South Korean Government.With the support of national policy and resources,Postech adopts small scale with excellency development strategy.Through the development of elite education to attract top talents and the enhancement of the scientific research quality,the university has successfully developed its external indicators in a short period of time,and continuously enhanced its inner quality.It concludes that the goal of creating the world-class university can be achieved through the external and internal development.
