Toni Morrison＇s The Bluest Eye describes a contemplative picture of the American black female＇s life.In the white culture society,due to the dual interaction of both social discrimination and self cowardice,the black women dislocated their value orientation,which caused the absence of their identity and the loss of their selves.The Bluest Eye attempts to think over the reasons why Pecola becomes crazy through her changes in one year,and clarifies that only black women own independent identity,and insist on their own black cultural traditions,can they strive for the reconstruction of their female identity,and finally find their own survival and developmental space and value.
