Instances and Inspirations: Ancient Capital Cultural Preservation in Hangzhou

古都文化保护是历史上曾经辉煌的古都,包括历史文化名城,在城市化发展中应当而且必须解决的重要问题。笔者从亲身参加的杭州古都文化保护实践中,选取若干典型事例,阐述了对古都文化内涵与价值的理解,指出吴越文化、南宋文化是杭州两大古都文化,并提出了在杭州古都文化研究与保护实践中得到的重要启示,提供了相互交流探讨的空间。

Cultural preservation is a very important issue which should and must be solved during the urbanization development for ancient capitals. The author has selected some typical examples from the practice of Hangzhou ancient capital cultural protection with his own experience. The text explains his comprehension on the value and connotation of ancient capital culture, designating the Wuyue Kingdom culture and Southern Song culture as the two main ancient capital cultures in Hangzhou. It proposes important inspirations from the practice of Hangzhou ancient capital cultural research and reservation, presenting a space for mutual exchange and discussion.
