Medical geography characteristics and health care strategy of Philippines

菲律宾是东南亚群岛国家之一,地处西太平洋,位于热带雨林气候区,拥有得天独厚的自然景观。菲律宾是个移民国家,菲律宾特殊的自然环境和人文环境导致登革热、乙脑、黄热病等虫媒病毒性传染疾病以及狂犬病、艾滋病、血吸虫病等传染性疾病在菲律宾本土有着较高的发病率。本文就菲律宾自然地理、人文地理、医学地理基本情况进行介绍,并对菲律宾常见病和多发病的诊断和预防做了重点阐述。

As a member of Association of Southeast Nation, Philippines locates in western pacific and enjoys the monsoonal tropical rainforest climate and the unique natural landscape. That＇s why Filipino culture has a remix culture of the west and the east. Besides, the continuous conflicts between different religion intensified internal contradictions. On the flip side, because of the special natural and cultural environment of Philippines, the morbidity of many infectious diseases, such as dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, yellow fever and other insect- borne viral infectious diseases, rabies, AIDS, schistosomiasis and so on, remains high. In this paper, we introduce the basic conditions of natural geography, human geography and medical geography in Philippines, and emphasize the diagnosis and prevention of the common disease in Philippines.
