摘要
从定性、定量两个角度对长江引航中心引航员的外语能力展开分析,可以对引航员外语能力现状有清晰的了解。采用定性深度访谈法发现,引航员引航专业用语能力与其职称、从业经历呈现正相关;采用书面考试与口语测试综合评估的定量分析发现,引航员外语能力与其职称、从业经历呈现逆相关。这一研究结果可以为航海英语教改提供一定的启示:应该从教育理念、教材编写、教师聘用、教师教学方式、学生学习的方式及方法、航海英语的考试及考查模式六个方面进行改革。
A clear overview on the status quo of pilots' foreign language abilities can be obtained from two angles of qualitative and quantitative analysis on pilots' foreign language abilities in Changjiang Pilot Center. Qualitative in-depth interviews show positive correlation between pilots' professional language ability and their titles and working experience. Quantitative analyses based on comprehensive evaluation with written and oral tests demonstrate inverse correlation. The results of this study can provide some implications for the teaching reform of maritime English. Reform should be conducted from six aspects of educational notion, compilation of teaching materials, employment of teachers, teaching methods and students' learning ways and methods, maritime English examination mode respectively.
