摘要
乔伊尔断裂是一条位于蒙古国戈壁苏木贝尔省的断裂,走向北西向,倾向南西。该断裂在卫星图像上有清晰的线性显示。乔伊尔断裂南西盘为乔伊尔盆地,北东盘为寒武纪和二叠纪的花岗岩。沿断裂发育有明显的断层陡坎,断面上发育有碎裂碎粉岩和断层泥。综合该断裂的地质地貌表现、结构面特征以及断裂与地层的并截关系,认为乔伊尔断裂为第四纪早、中更新世断裂。
The Choir Fault is a fault in the Govisumber Province of Mongolia, heading northwest and tending to southwest. The fault in the satellite images show a clear linear. the southwest plate of the Choir Fault is the Choir Basin, the northeast plate is the Cambrian and Permian granite. The fault scarp is developed along the Choir Fault. Broken crushed rock and faulted mud is found on the fault plane. Based on the geologic features of the fault, the structural features and the relationship between the fault and the strata, the Choir Fault is considered to be the early and middle Pleistocene faults.
