简论王艮的学习思想

On the learning thought of Wang Gen

王艮关于学习的思想极其丰富。他认为,学习如同水中去除泥沙一样,使人清明,变恶为善。而要搞好学习,就要有韦编三绝的精神,广阅博览,并做到精微细详。王艮还认为不学不是乐,不乐不是学。他要求学习者去除私欲,简易而学,学百姓日用之学,同时要重师友,做到学不累人,提高学习的快乐程度。此外,王艮还提出自得之学这一概念,要求把学习与思考结合起来,充分发挥自己的主观能动性,善于思考,勇于创新。

Wang Gen＇s thought about learning is extremely rich. He believeed that learning is like the water to remove sediment; it can make people clear-hearted and change evil into good. In order to study well, one should have the spirit of hard work, read widely, and make a detailed study. Wang Gen also believed that no learning is unpleasant, and no pleasure is not learning. So he asked the learners to remove desires, be easy and learn, learn the people＇s daily use, respect the teachers and friends, do not learn tiredly, and increase the joy of learning. In addition, Wang Gen also proposed the concept of ＂contented learning＂, in which one should combine learning and thinking, give full play to one＇s initiative, and be good at thinking and innovation.
