《释教三字经》考述

Research on the Three Character Classic Buddhism

《释教三字经》最初乃由明末聚云禅派初祖吹万广真创作,其后该书由民国高僧印光改写,遂广为流传,吹万本《释教三字经》反而湮灭。苏州大学图书馆近期发现吹万广真原著之《释教三字经》刻本,今拟对该书版本进行考证,比较其与印光改写之本的区别,发掘原本的价值和对佛教界的影响。

Three Character Classic Buddhism was originally created by Chuiwan Guangzhen, who was the founder of Juyun Chan School. Then this book was rewritten by the monk Yin Guang, and widely circulated, but Chuiwan Guangzhen’s Three Character Classic Buddhism annihilated. The Library of Su Zhou University recently found the original book by Chuiwan Guangzhen. This paper researches on the version of this book, and compares the difference between the original and the rewriting, as well as explores the value and the influence on Buddhist circles of the original version.
