中共中央政治局5月26日召开会议，审议《关于修改〈中国共产党巡视工作条例〉的决定》和《关于巡视中央意识形态单位情况的专题报告入中共中央总书记习近平主持会议。会议指出，党的十八大以来，以习近平同志为核心的党中央把巡视作为推进全面从严治党的重大举措，对加强和改进巡视工作作出一系列重大决策部署，坚持党内监督和群众监督相结合，赋予巡视制度新的活力。
The CPC Central Committee Political Bureau held a meeting on May 26, deliberating over the Decision about Revising Rules of the CPC on Work of Inspection Tours and A Theme Report on Inspecting Tours to Work Entities of Central Ideological Situations. Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the CPC＇s Central Committee chaired the meeting. It was pointed out during the meeting that since the 18th CPC Conference, the Central Committee of CPC has introduced the inspection tours as an important measure of advancing the comprehensive rule of party discipline, made a series of important decisions and deployment for strengthening and improving inspection work, adhering to the combination of supervision insider the party organizations and supervision by the general public, and injecting new energy to the inspection institution. Experience show that the inspection work has been targeted at both the current problems and the root causes, making it a persistent and deepening regime offering both temporary as well as permanent cures.
