截至今年6月，最高检和试点地区检察机关结合公益诉讼试点，通过公益诉讼挽回直接经济损失89亿余元。共办理公益诉讼案件9053件，其中诉前程序案件7903件、提起诉讼案件1150件。起诉案件中，人民法院判决结案437件，全部支持检察机关的诉讼请求。7903件诉前程序案件中，行政公益诉讼诉前程序案件7676件，行政机关纠正违法或履行职责5162件，占77．14％；民事公益诉讼诉前程序案件227件，检察机关支持起诉28件。
As of June of this year, the SPP and pilot procuratorial agencies across the country saved direct economic loss of 8.9 billion yuan through pilot program of public interest litigation. A total of 9053 such cases were handled, 7903 of which were about pre-trial proceedings and 1150 cases were finally prosecuted. Among those being prosecuted, 437 cases have been closed by the people＇s courts, all were in favour of the prosecutors. Among the total 7903 pre-trial proceedings, 7676 cases were about public interest litigation, 5162 cases involved rectifying violation of law or performance of duties and obligations by the administrative agencies, accounting for 77.14%; 227 cases were civil public interest pre-trial proceedings, and 28 of such cases were supported by the procuratorates. 6527 cases are public interest litigation involving ecological and resource protection and 129 thousand hectares of farm land, forest land, wetland and prairie polluted or disrupted shall be urged to be recovered to the original situation; over 180 square miles of water source polluted being urged to be recovered and over 1700 enterprises have been ordered to be rectified.
