Alice Monroe won the Nobel Prize for Literature collection of short stories "Runaway". In the short story with the same title "runaway", the heroine Carla went out to fred a "more real life" at age 18. A few years later she found this type of life also unbearable, so she escaped again. In the first escaping, she thought escaping can recover and save herself and she could commit "sin" without knowing it, until a little goat named "flora" expiate for her crime. In facing the incident of "Flora", she woke up and no longer escaping. This story does not seem to give women the right way to get out of the predicament of life, but we can still find the "scapegoat" image from Monroe's stories in the development of the structure of the article. As a result of" Flora" expiate for the crime, Carla's two escaping make the reader impressive and even empathy, which also reflects its "runaway" theme.
