Graphene and its derivatives have been attracting considerable interest worldwide due to its remarkable physical and chem- ical properties as well as alluring biocompatibility. As a new kind of carbon material, graphene has a number of potential medical appli- cations in many fields. In this review, efforts are made to expect in elucidating the synthesis and characterization of graphene deriva- tives, with emphasis on their latest developments in oral biology.
