大学生校园住宿环境满意度的实证研究 被引量:6

An Empirical Research on College Students' Satisfaction with Their Residential Environment on Campus

摘要 大学校园住宿管理是高校学生事务管理的重要实践领域,具有不可替代的育人功能。在回顾学生参与理论及国外大学生住宿管理相关研究的基础上,利用案例高校学生调查数据,对大学生校园住宿环境满意度的现状、差异及影响因素进行深入的实证研究,得出以下结论:大学生对住宿环境的满意度整体偏低,不同背景学生对住宿环境的满意度存在显著差异,影响大学生住宿满意度的因素主要包括学生背景特征、学生课内外活动参与以及校园人际互动。相较而言,男生、高年级学生、理科学生、未担任过学生干部的普通学生、来自农村的学生、非独生子女家庭的学生、毕业后打算就业或创业的学生、课内外活动参与度高的学生、与教师互动频率高的学生,对住宿环境的满意度更高。促进校园住宿管理,特别是住宿管理人员的专业化,是提升不同学生群体住宿环境满意度、发挥校园住宿育人功能的有效途径。 As a major functional area in student affairs administration, residential management always plays an important role in educating college and university students. Based on a theoretical and empirical review of student involvement and student residential management in American higher education system, using a dataset from a China's university student survey, this paper explores college students' satisfaction with their residential environment on campus from the following three aspects: the current status of students' satisfaction, the differences of satisfaction among different groups of students and the causes of students' satisfaction. The main empirical results are as follows: The level of students' satisfaction with their residential environment is relatively low. There is a remarkable difference in residential satisfaction among students with different backgrounds. The causes of students' satisfaction include students' background characteristics, students' involvement in and outside their classrooms, and students' interactions with peers and educators on campus. Comparatively, those students, such as male students, senior students, science students, students without leader experience, students from rural areas, students with siblings, students with clear career planning, students involved more in campus activities, students with more interactions with educators, are more likely to show higher level of satisfaction with their residential environment than others. The professionalization of residential management, especially the professionalization of resident assistant or resident advisor, is an effective way to improve students' satisfaction with their residential environment and even their whole learning experience on campus.
