高校教师工作满意度对其论文产出的影响——基于“2014中国大学教师调查”的分析

Effects of Job Satisfaction on the Article Outputs of Faculty:Based on 2014 Faculty Survey in China

论文产出是教师、高校和国家科研水平的重要表现,关系到教师的职业发展、高校的学科建设和世界一流大学建设。研究使用2014年中国大学教师调查的微观数据,并结合SCI/SSCI和CSSCI/CSCD引文数据库中教师的论文发表数据,通过倾向得分匹配方法有效地控制样本中的选择性偏差,估计了高校教师工作满意度对论文产出的处理效应。研究发现,与传统OLS估计相比,倾向得分匹配方法的估计结果更高。从整体上来说,提高教师的工作满意度有利于论文产出的增加,同时提高工作满意度不仅有利于提升教师的个人学术生产力,更有利于促进教师学术合作的达成。研究结论有助于为教师学术职业发展、高校学术评价改革和高等教育发展提供契合的实践证据。

Article outputs are the key indicator of research for faculty, university and nation, which is concerned with the academic development of faculty, the disciplinary development of universities, as well as the establishment of world-class universities for nation. Based on data from 2014 Faculty Survey and the publications of faculty indexed in the SCI/SSCI and CSSCI/CSCD datasets, the paper estimates the treatment effect of job satisfaction on the article outputs of faculty through the propensity score matching method. Key findings are as follows： compared with the traditional OLS estimation, the PSM estimators are higher; job satisfaction has significant positive effects on the article outputs of faculty overall; job satisfaction may not only enhance academic productivity, but also promote academic cooperation. The findings provide empirical evidence for facuhy＇s academic and professional development, university evaluation reform and higher education development.
