桂林时期是著名音乐家吴伯超音乐创作的黄金时期,其一生最重要的作品混声合唱曲《中国人》《国殇――祭阵亡将士诔乐》《冲锋歌》及女声四部合唱与钢琴四重奏曲《暮色》都在这个时期创作。吴伯超桂林时期的音乐创作利用了苗瑶音乐的曲调,与丰富的和声相配合,形成了新颖的风格和动人的节奏。

The time Wu Bo-chao,a famous musician,stayed at Guilin was a golden one for his musical creation,during which his masterpieces were created,such as CHINESE,ODE TO THE NATIONAL MARTYR： IN MEMORY OF THE OFFICERS AND SOLDIERS KILLED IN THE ANTI-JAPAN WAR,SONG OF CHARGING,and the Women＇s Vocal ＆ piano quartet THE EVENING SHADOWS. It＇s worth noting that Wu Bo-chao＇s musical creation during this period is characterized by the melody of the Miao and Yao people＇s music,rich harmony,fresh style and strong rhythm.
