澳大利亚培育2-3岁幼儿数学学习兴趣研究——以悉尼市蒙台梭利维多利亚公园幼儿园为例

Research on Developing Children's Learning Interests in Mathematics in Australia——A Case Study of Montessori Academy Victoria Park

摘要 在学前教育阶段,儿童数学学习兴趣和能力的培养对其认知发展和将来的学业成就有着重要影响。本研究以澳大利亚悉尼市蒙台梭利维多利亚公园幼儿园为研究对象,剖析了2-3岁幼儿参与数学活动的积极性与参与率的主要影响因素。研究发现,2-3岁幼儿可自发在"玩"中增长数学知识;创造富有感官刺激的学习环境、教师数学化和生活化的教学介入及增强幼儿数学语言表达能力,是提高儿童数学学习能力的三大重要因素。 During early childhood years, it is important for young children to develop numeracy skills and learning interests in mathematics, as early mathematics is the foundation of children' s cognitive development as well as future academic success. However, there is little research available in relation to young children' s mathematical learning, especially for children aged from 2 to 3 years. This study conducts action research approach at Montessori Academy Victoria Park in Sydney, Australia to explore how toddlers learn and gain mathematical understandings through 'play'. It is concluded that creating stimulating learning environment, implementing effective teaching practices and developing children' s mathematical language are three major components to promote children' s mathematical learning motivation and engagement.
