论先锋理论中的几个基本问题

On Some Basic Issues in the Theory of Avant-Garde

先锋"与"先锋性"、"现代"、"后现代"以及时尚等问题是先锋理论中的几个相关联的基本问题,也是几个容易混淆的问题。有些西方学者会把它们放在一起来讨论,似乎它们之间没有任何区别,或是可以相互替代的。其实,事实并非完全如此。这几个概念术语有其共生性的一面,但也有着各自不同的一面。本文从这几个概念的发生、发展以及演变入手,力求厘清彼此间的关系和界限,为先锋文学理论的研究提出新的理解。

The ideas of avant-garde, avant-gardeness, modernism, postmodernism and fashion are basic but easy to be confused in the studies of avant-garde theory. Some schol- ars would regard them as the same things and maintain that these ideas are replaceable. Yet, the author of the present essay will contend that it is not the case. He chooses to discuss these basic ideas and believe that there are certain boundaries and differences among them. He will advance a new understanding of these basic ideas for the study of avant-garde theory.
