购买国外专利技术与企业自主研发的协同效应研究

Research on Synergy Effects of Using Foreign Licensed Technology and Indigenous R & D

购买国外专利技术与自主研发是企业获取技术的两种重要的互补性途径。由于两者都需要大量的资金支持,企业的融资状况变化会对他们产生怎样的影响值得关注。本文使用2012年世界银行中国投资环境调查报告中的制造业企业数据,采用多项式选择模型检验融资约束条件下企业购买国外专利技术与自主研发之间的协同效应,以及两者对融资约束的非对称性反应。研究发现企业的融资能力是影响企业技术获取的重要因素。融资约束得到缓解时,两者之间会产生极强的协同效应,且自主研发对融资条件变化的反应更大、更显著。因此,企业在注重购买专利技术与自主研发协调发展的同时,应以自主研发作为未来技术获取的主要途径。

Using foreign licensed technology and doing indigenous R＆D are two important and complementary channels for companies to obtain technologies, and both require huge amount of capital. It＇ s significant to study the responses of them for the changes of companies＇ financing status. Using the finn-level data of manufacturing sectors from China-Enterprise Survey by the World Bank, this paper tests the synergy effects between these two activities and their differ- ent responses to financing constraints by using multinomial logistic regression. We find that financing is an important factor that affects companies＇ ability to obtain technology. When financing constraints are eased, there is significant syner- gy effects between these two activities, and the indigenous R＆D are more sensitive to companies＇ financing status changes. Therefore, it is important for companies to keep a balance between these two activities and focus more on indige- nous R＆D.
