In the process of China＇s engagement in the world,Canton Customs played an important role. It further enhanced the level of administration of foreign trade and gradually improved the regulatory mechanism,thus laying a solid foundation for the establishment of modern customs service of China. It has now turned into an academic domain with international influence and an important resource for Guangzhou to be a renowned historical and cultural city. Hence the research in Canton Customs has vital theoretical and practical significance.
