A Comparative Study of Eulogy Traditions in Odes of the Book of Songs and Psalms of the Holy Bible

"美颂"是一种超越时代和地域限定的人类共同的文化精神。《诗经·颂》和《圣经·诗篇》是人类早期美颂行为的主要呈现,虽然还带有一定的功利性和实用性,但已具有比较成熟的精神内涵和审美价值。论文通过对《颂》和《诗篇》中美颂内容、载体及功能的比较,从源头上分析中西方美颂传统形成和发展中的异同,肯定美颂精神在文艺作品中的意义与价值。

Eulogy is a common cultural essence of mankind beyond the time and region.The literary works such as Odes of the Book of Songs and Psalms of the Holy Bible are representatives of eulogy of ancient mankind.Although they were largely functional and pragmatic,they abound in spiritual essence and aesthetic value.By comparing the contents,means and functions between Odes of the Book of Songs and Psalms of the Holy Bible,we can date back the origin and development of eulogy in both Chinese and western culture,revealing the significance and value of eulogy in literary and artistic works.
