Overall Recognition and Grasping of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Entering into New Development Period

在2017年7月26日省部级主要领导干部专题研讨班上的重要讲话中,习近平总书记作出了中国特色社会主义进入了新的发展阶段的重大战略判断。可以从三个维度来理解:从自身发展的维度看,近代以来久经磨难的中华民族实现了从站起来、富起来到强起来的历史性飞跃,中国特色社会主义的发展站到了新的历史起点上;从世界发展进程维度看,经过新中国成立60多年特别是改革开放近40年的发展,中国特色社会主义发展道路不断焕发出勃勃生机并开辟发展新境界;从现代化的维度看,经过改革开放近40年特别是党的十八大以来的不懈奋斗,中国特色社会主义不仅引领中国走上了现代化的正确道路,而且拓宽了发展中国家走向现代化的途径。要明确中国特色社会主义进入新的发展阶段面临的新任务,充分吸收以往建设中国特色社会主义的历史经验,坚定道路自信、理论自信、制度自信和文化自信,在更高水平上建设中国特色社会主义,把中国特色社会主义事业继续推向前进,最终实现中华民族的全面复兴。

In the important speech in the discussion forum lor specific issues of chief provincial and ministerialeaders on July 26th,2017, General Secretary Xi Jinping made important strategic judgment for new developmenperiod of the socialism with Chinese characteristics. This speech can be understood in such three perspectives aChinese nation realized the historic leap from standing up,to becoming rich and to becoming strong afteexperiencing long time crucifixion in China self development perspective,the socialism with Chinese characteristicstands on new historic starting point, in global development progress perspective, after 60 years development of newChina,especially 40 years development after reform and opening - up, the development road of socialism witChinese characteristics continuously demonstrates vitality and opens new state, in modernization perspective, aftenearly 40 years of reform and opening-up,especially the continuously struggle since the 18th Meeting of CPC, thsocialism with Chinese characteristics not only leads China to conduct modernization construction but also broadenthe path for developing countries to realize modernization. We should clarify new task in new development periodsufficiently absorb the historic experience in the socialism construction in the past, uphold road confidence, theorconfidence, institutional confidence and cultural confidence, construct socialism with Chinese characteristics ohigher level, push forward the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and finally realize overall rejuvenationof Chinese nation.
