早期马克思的宗教观是以人为本。从人的道德意志到人的自由精神,再到人的类本质,最终由此定义人的最高本质,从分析马克思对于"人"定义理解的转变,可以看出不同时期的马克思宗教观的侧重点的转变。这一过程中其宗教观一步步成熟,最终确立了历史唯物主义宗教观,并转向政治批判。他通过揭露宗教外衣下人类社会本质,开辟了从人道主义无神论走向"社会主义"观念的道路。

In the early stage, Marx＇s view of religion is the people-oriented. From the man＇s moral will to the free spirit, and to the human nature, he finally defined it as the most advanced human nature. It can be seen the changes of his view of religion emphasis in different periods from the analysis of his transformation of human understanding. In this process, his religious concept matures step by step, finally establishing the historical materialism view of religion. He opens up the road towards the ＂socialist＂ concept from the humanitarian atheism by revealing the essence of human society under the cloak of religion.
