摘要
文章从全人教育的视角讨论英语本科语言学课程教学,主要探讨全人教育理念在课程设置、课堂教学方法上的实现问题。研究指出,在课程设置上应该采纳"多位一体"的理念,即以语言学概论课程为核心,在此基础上开设语言学其他分支的专业选修课,兼顾学科共性和学生的个性需求。在教学方法上,教师应该注重学生母语语言事实的参与,凸显语言学教学的跨学科性,切实有效拓宽学生的学术视野,提高英语专业学生的专业核心素养。
From the perspective of holistic education concept, this paper discusses linguistics teaching for undergraduate English majors, especially its application to curriculum setting and teaching approaches. It advocates a curriculum with Introduction to Linguistics as the core and a variety of other optional courses of other linguistic branches as the supplement. This curriculum highlights the importance of general linguistics and fosters students' individuality in linguistics learning as well. In terms of teaching approach, it is argued that teachers should not ignore the participation of students' mother tongue in discussions, and a cross-disciplinary vision should be adopted in teaching. The approach will broaden students' academic horizons and enhance their competence as English majors.
