The Impact of Confucian Philosophy in Song Dynasty on That of Vietnam from Thirteenth Century to Nineteenth Century

中国儒学是已有2500多年历史的一种集政治和道德为一体的学说,其形成与发展历程影响了东亚众多国家,其中包括越南。越南接受儒学历史基本上只接受了宋明儒学(亦即宋明理学)。文章要解答的历史疑问集中于:为何宋明儒学影响最大,并非儒学发达的春秋或是中国文明最发达的唐代儒学。13世纪至19世纪越南儒士对宋儒学说的接受是以三个主要特性为中心的。这是中世纪中古时代的典型影响方式。

Chinese Confucianism is a theory that combines politics and morality for more than 2500 years.The development and process have influenced many countries in East Asia,including Vietnam.Vietnam accepted the history of Confucianism,and basically accepted the Confucian Philosophy in Song Dynasty Ming Dynasty（that is Neo-Confucianism）.This paper will answer the following history questions：Why is Neo-Confucianism the most influential instead of Confucianism in the Spring and Autumn Period or in the Tang dynasty;the study of Neo-Confucianism to Vietnam from thirteenth Century to nineteenth Century from the angle of Confucian texts is not thorough and needs to be further deepened with the era of globalization and ＂Belt and Road Initiative＂ requirements.Overall,from thirteenth Century to nineteenth Century,Vietnam scholars accept the Song Confucian doctrine from three main characteristics.This is a typical influence in medieval times of the Middle Ages.
