This article introduces the background and history of the aluminum alloy die casting, and then the latest version of the standard is interpreted, the differences between the old version and the new version are compared, the differences are compared with corresponding standard of foreign advanced industrial countries. Finally the important role of standard is illustrated; the problems in current standards establishment and application are mentioned. The establishment and updating of the aluminum alloy die-casting standard in the future are discussed.
