慕课与“高”辍学率:基于学习者视域 被引量:28

MOOCs and Their High Dropout Rates: From the Perspective of Learners

摘要 从注册者众多、认真参与者较少、完成者寥寥无几的慕课课程轨迹出发,基于学习者视域,发现了学习目标、社会互动、学习自主、评价机制和学习期望等导致高辍学率的主要因素。鉴于慕课和传统教学及远程教育的差异,在充分考虑慕课学习者类型、学习目标、学习成本和学习过程的特性之后应重新界定辍学和辍学率等术语。同时,基于学习者需求,在慕课进展的不同阶段采取课程预告、前测、学习行为大数据分析、调查问卷及访谈等举措,以提升慕课的黏性,降低学习者的损耗。 Starting from a large number of registered participants, less serious participants and few completed MOOCs courses, based on the learners' perspective, this paper first identifies five main elements such as learning objectives, social interaction, learning autonomy, evaluation mechanisms arid learning expectations for the high dropout rates . Then, given the differences between MOOCs and the traditional teaching as well as long -distance education and after considering the characteristics of MOOCs learners' types, learning objectives, learning cost and learning process, such terms as dropout and dropout rate should be reconceptualized in the context of MOOCs. Finally , based on the learners' needs, this paper recommends some measures such as courses' preview, pretest, data analysis of learning behavior, questionnaires and interviews at different stages of the MOOCs development in order to enhance the MOOCs viscosity and reduce the loss of learners.
