“‘经史子集’始立于《隋书·经籍志》”说辨正

目录类著作以"经史子集"为部类名称始于《隋书·经籍志》,这一观点被作为目录学常识为学界普遍接受,但此说仍值得商榷。《隋书·经籍志》"经部""史部""子部""集部"的部类名称源于南北朝时已深入人心的"经史子集"的书籍分类观念,并极有可能直接袭自魏征于贞观年间所编的"贞观目"。今人对此问题的错误认识在于,把"现存最早"混同于"首次"。

The view that catalogue book taking the ＂Jing Shi Zi Ji＂ as the class name sterns from Sui Shu Jing Ji Zhi, is treated as the common sense of bibliography to be generally accepted by academic community, but this saying is still worth thinking over. The class names of ＂Jing Bu＂, ＂Shi Bu＂, ＂Zi Bu＂ and ＂Ji Bu＂ of Sui Shu Jing Ji Zhi stern from the deep-going books classification of ＂Jing Shi Zi Ji＂ in the northern and southern dynasties, and probably follow the ＂Zhenguan Mu＂ directly written by Wei Zheng in Zhenguan years. The misconceptionon of people on this problem is that the ＂earliest extant＂ be confused with the ＂first time＂.
