On Xi Jinping's Teacher Theory

党的十八大以来,习近平总书记从坚持和发展中国特色社会主义现代化建设和教育事业全局出发,把握国际大势,立足中国国情,汲取中华民族优秀文化传统中的教育思想精华,继承和发展历代党中央领导集体的先进教育理念,站在历史与时代的制高点,提出了一系列重要的有关教师队伍建设的教育思想和主张。习近平总书记特别强调指出,教师是立教之本,兴教之源,并在教师本质、教师地位、教师素质、教师发展等方面进行了深刻的阐述。习近平总书记有关教师队伍建设的思想观点,丰富了马克思主义教育理论,发展了我国特色社会主义教师队伍建设思想,为我国教师教育研究与教师队伍建设指明了前进方向,对我国教育事业的发展和教师队伍建设具有重要的理论指引意义与实践指导价值。

Since the 18th National People＇s Congress of CPC, General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of important educational thoughts and propositions of professional teacher development, based on highlighting and developing socialist modernization construction with Chinese characteristics and cause of education, mastering international situation, taking China＇s national conditions into account, absorbing excellent educaiional thoughts from China＇s traditional culture, inheriting and developing the advanced educational ideas from all the previous leading groups of CPC Central Committee. Mr. Xi Jinping especially emphasized that teachers are the essence of the education, who could make education prosperous. He also elaborated the nature, status, quality, and development of teacher. His notes on teacher development has enriched Marxist educational theory, extended socialist teacher theory with Chinese characteristics, and indicated directions for teacher education research and teacher development in China. It is of great theoretical and practical significance for China＇s educational development and teacher development.
